Mill Springs Battlefield has long been considered a historical landmark in Pulaski County. But sometime in the future, it may become more than that.
Think Mill Springs Battlefield National Park.
During Tuesday's [April 2009] Pulaski County Fiscal Court meeting, Gilbert Wilson, the director of the Mill Springs Battlefield Association, presented Pulaski CountyJudge-executive Barty Bullock and the magistrates a resolution in which the court would request that the federal government establish the battlefield as a national park.

The Association would like to express its gratitude to the family of Dorotha Burton Hudson for donating many valuable pictures and research materials of the family’s about Dorotha and Zollicoffer Park.
Dorotha was young girl when she first started her interest in Zollicoffer and the Battle of Mill Springs. Her passion for preservation and dedication to commemorating not only Union, but Confederate war heroes
