The Mill Springs Battlefield will be hosting Reenactment on January 21 & 22, 2012 at Zollicoffer Park. This Sesquicentennial Event will mark the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Mill Springs.
Our November and December events, the Ghostwalk and the Christmas Open House, have been cancelled this season in order to prepare for our January Reenactment. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause the public. We are re-organizing all of our energy and efforts into this Sesquicentennial Event,” replied MSBA President Bill Neikirk. The 150th Anniversary Event will include two battles on Saturday, January 21 and one battle on Sunday, January 22. A Ceremony honoring the soldiers who fought and died at the Battle of Mill Springs. Reenactors are planning to camp out just as the soldiers did 150 years ago. Concession and Souvenirs will be sold on site and the Mill Springs Battlefield Visitor Center & Museum will be open for visitation.
